St Abbs Lifeboat Calendar 2018 - On Sale Now. Our 2018 charity calendar has really gone to the dogs. Every month features one of our volunteer’s pets. May features our coxswain’s adorable black labrador puppy, July our winchman’s gentle greyhound and December one of our fundraiser’s festively attired italian spinone. Our Calendar cost £7.50 and you can buy your own copy from these local shops: St Abbs: Post Office, Visitor Centre; Coldingham: Luckenbooth; Eyemouth: Occasions Florist; Reston: Post Office. A big thanks to local photographer Kevin O'Brien at O'Brien Imaging for taking the photos of our dogs. If you don't live locally you can also order your copy (and one for your granny and some for your friends) from our online shop:l www.stabbslifeboat.org.uk/product/calendar2018/

Pentland Sub-Aqua Club shared Billy Shiel Farne Islands Boats's post. ...

High flyers at the weekend. Glad Tidings 4 & 5 had just left harbour at 12noon heading across to the Islands when a small pod of Bottlenose Dolphins came up close to the boats. Skippers John and Bobby said "they have never seen anything like it before", leaping 3-4 metres out of the water. A magnificent sight and wildlife experience right here in Northumberland. On Sunday afternoon Ocean Explorer had favourable weather and headed offshore on one of our exclusive Pelagic trips, passengers were rewarded with a minke whale and a pod of White Beaked Dolphins alongside for nearly an hour. We still have a couple of trips for this year and now underway with planning a schedule for 2018. www.northseapelagics.co.uk Thanks to John Randles for taking and sharing these cracking photos outside Seahouses Harbour onboard Glad Tidings.
